Ska Train was formed in early 2023 in Coventry, the home of 2 Tone music, by drummer and Midlands rudeboy Lee Baylis.  Lee was quickly joined by seasoned frontman and nonsense provider Mike Took (vocals), the amazing Nathan Howard (bass), and a truly fabulous horn section featuring Bill Gibbon (sax) and Nik McKiernan (trombone).  With the addition of the highly talented Neil "Gorgeous" Craythorne (guitar and backing vocals) and the silky skills of Gary Killeen (keyboard), the Ska Train was well and truly ready to start its musical journey!  Ska Train’s set-list is a blend of fabulous 2-Tone classics (Madness, The Specials, Bad Manners, The Beat, The Selecter, etc) and original Jamaican ska tunes, peppered with the occasional curve-ball song choice to delight audiences of any age and musical interest.  Ska Train made their live debut playing a full set at the iconic 2-Tone Village in Coventry, and have gone on to play parties, festivals, and sold-out shows across the Midlands.  In March '24 they performed a one-off show with very special guest trumpeter Jon Read (ex-Specials).
